Rob Schenk is a DJ, teacher, and community builder.  He has been working in radio for ten years, and currently hosts the Zion Train radio show on Fridays from 7-9 PM PST on KRVM 91.9 FM. Previously, Schenk worked at KRCC 91.5 FM as a DJ starting in 2013 before joining KWVA 88.1 FM in 2015, where he eventually became Programming Director from 2016 to 2019. Schenk has hosted various shows in the years since then, most recently 'Pub Coffin.'

Attending the University of Oregon, Schenk graduated in 2019 with BAs in Journalism and Cinema Studies, and most recently received his Master's in Education in Curriculum and Education Studies, focusing on English Language Arts at the middle and high school level. Schenk currently works at Willamette High School in Eugene, OR teaching 10th Grade English and 12th Grade College and Career Writing.

While in college, Schenk also co-founded the Music Industry Collective, an organization designed to help students learn about and find opportunities in the music industry, and is a former president of the organization. Alongside longtime friend Allison Del Fium, Schenk created and taught a music industry education course designed to introduce new college students to the music industry. It was this course that inspired him to become the teacher he is today.

Schenk also spent the years from 2019 through 2022 working with Dub-Stuy Records in Bed-Stuy, NY, a notable sound system and record label focusing on Jamaican sound system culture and  community. Schenk spent his time as an occasional box boy and their digital marketing director and blog coordinator, and continues to write for them. In the summers, you can find him working with Harmonic Laboratory, helping produce the popular Artistic Encounters downtown concert series.
